Acupuncture has a great success rate as a complementary therapy for individuals and couples trying to conceive.
How Does Acupuncture Work for Fertility?
Balancing Hormones: Acupuncture can help regulate hormones, which play a crucial role in fertility. By promoting hormonal balance, acupuncture may enhance your chances of conception.
Improved Blood Flow: Acupuncture stimulates blood circulation, ensuring a sufficient blood supply to the reproductive organs. This increased blood flow can promote healthier eggs and uterine lining.
Stress Reduction: The stress and anxiety associated with infertility can negatively impact fertility. Acupuncture is known for its calming effects, which can help reduce stress levels and improve your overall well-being.
Enhanced Egg Quality: Acupuncture may improve the quality of eggs released during ovulation, increasing the likelihood of a successful pregnancy.
Supporting IVF and IUI: Many individuals undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intrauterine insemination (IUI) choose acupuncture to enhance the success of these procedures.
Who can benefit from fertility acupuncture?

One German study took 160 women undergoing IVF and split them into 2 groups. One group where given acupuncture treatments with IVF and one group did not. The group that received acupuncture treatments increased their success rate by 50% than the group that did IVF alone. Check out the BBC article:
Similarly in 2008 research published in the British Medical Journal showed that women who underwent acupuncture were 65% more likely to have a successful embryo transfer compared with those who underwent a "sham" version of the treatment, or no extra treatment at all. Check out the BBC article:
How many treatments will I need?
In the first consultation, a treatment plan is made in order to evaluate the individual needs. In order to get optimal results, on average minimum 3 months are needed to regulate the hormones. The treatments are spaced out weekly. In addition to acupuncture, herbal supplements are also added to the program, if needed.
How much does it cost?
Depending on the evalution, a minimum of 10-12 treatments are needed. The treatment plans include the initial consult and can be used through out the whole year, including the maintenance sessions.
10 treatments 700 €
12 treatments 800 €
20 treatments 1200 €
